The existing Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting a Marvel-style makeover Riders will get the chance to team up with the Avengers, including Iron Man on what’s being dubbed a “high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure”.

The ride, featuring Aerosmith, already exists at Disneyland Paris – and it’s currently the fastest roller coaster in France – but it’s getting Marvel makeover for 2018.

It follows the changes to Disneyland’s Tower Of Terror ride last year – which was transformed into the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! attraction.

The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster isn’t the only Disneyland Paris attraction to get a makeover – the French theme park’s  Hotel New York is also being redone as Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art Of Marvel.

The announcement of the new Marvel makeovers was made at the D23 Expo Japan, where 2,000 guests heard the latest in all things Disney.

It’s not all good news though – prices at Disney parks in the US are going up.

This is due to the high costs of building the much-anticipated Star Wars parks, reports the LA Times.

If you’re headed to Disneyland in California then the least-expensive annual pass is now $729 (£526), up from $619 (£447).

If you’re buying a Signature Plus pass, which includes free parking and speedy boarding for rides, you’ll now pay $1,149 (£830) per year, up from $1,049 (£758).

Meanwhile day tickets are up by 9 per cent.

A statement from Disney reads: “We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to our guests and we will continue to evolve our pricing in a way that gives them a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit.”

To be fair to Disney, they are ploughing some serious cash into their parks at the moment, thanks to the likes of Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land.
